Bio:
Paul Hanrahan grew up the son of two artists, so creative expression was the norm. Paul picked up the guitar at around 11 years old and taught himself how to finger pick early on. He started writing songs soon after and from the beginning his songs have delved into introspective thoughts and feelings about a wide range of topics. His lyrics can take a song on a strange ride that can also show his dry and ironic sense of humor. After taking a break from performing for a number of years, Paul has recently returned to the local music scene to share his songs and guitar playing. He won the 2009 Woodstock Harvestfest Guitar contest. He is currently recording this summer and will hopefully have a new CD available by the end of August. Paul lives in Johnsburg with his wife Carla and their three kids.

Barrington Art Festival welcomes the award winning 2009 Inspirational Country Music Vocal Duo of the Year, “The Roys.” They will perform on the Acoustic Cafe Stage, at a private gathering for sponsors of the Barrington Art Festival and will host a "Songbirds in Barrington Songwriter Festival" during the Memorial Day Weekend. The acoustic cafe stage will showcase other accomplished singers and songwriters performing original songs with an acoustic flair. Expect to hear a mix of acoustic rock, folk, country, blues, jazz and classical roots of music. This weekend will also include unique songwriter workshops for songwriters to develop there skills in "Making your Best Demo" by John Hegner or receive a professional song critique by an award winning duo "The Roys".

100% Songbirds in Barrington Songwriter Festival Proceeds to Benefit Flood Relief.
In response to the devastating floods that have plagued the City of Nashville and Middle Tennessee, Live and Unplugged Inc. has announced that 100 percent of the net proceeds of the Songbirds in Barrington Songwriter Festival, Sunday May 30th from 2:00-3:30pm featuring "The Roys" , award winning Nashville recording artist and 2009 Inspirational Country Music Vocal Duo of the year, will be donated to the Nashville Area Red Cross for flood relief
