EYE(S) is the experimental band/idea/movement/artist that was conceived in early 2004 in order to showcase the local artistic talent (found around the IL/WI area of the USA) to the world via the Internet & live shows. Constantly evolving and experimenting with different combinations of artists, instruments, genres, and mediums; EYE(S) is always creating new and exciting art "projects" in the hopes of bringing Love, Peace, Hope, Joy, Unity, and interesting tales associated with the Human Life Experience to share with all of the world. Its current line-up, which formed in late 2006, includes Nik LiChard (guitar/vocals), Valerie Vazquez (trumpet/vocals), and Victoria Vazquez (clarinet/vocals.) They are currently finishing up their next album and you can find them playing around the Midwest this Summer and Fall. For more information check out:

Mark Hobbs – Singer-Songwriter
Bio
Mark Hobbs is a singer-songwriter with a passion for real music about real life, finding inspiration in the everyday and inviting listeners to see the beauty and interconnectedness in the otherwise seemingly ordinary. He writes songs that are chiseled out of real experience which echo in the souls of his listeners, offering a fresh perspective.
Mark starts with writing well-crafted songs that are insightful and stir the senses with vivid imagery and sensory memories. Onto this solid base, Mark serves up his songs with a clear, and resonant voice and intricate guitar arrangements – both of which serve as an excellent canvas for his visceral soundscapes and allow the spirit of his material to really sink in and resonate. There have been people, places, experiences and "visions" that have all found their home with Mark Hobbs - an extraordinary human who enjoys connecting the dots to find relationships between all things...and we get to come along on the adventure.

Songwriters that performed to a packed courtyard on September 12th were (from the left) Patti Shaffner, Amy Dixon Kolar, Sue Fink, and Jeanne T. Arrigo. The evening air was filled with acoustic guitar together and sounds of folk, country, jazz and lots of fun. As Sue Fink put it, there was a lot of variety, from heights to sounds to emotions and so much more. There was undeniably outstanding talent and incredibly gifted songwriters that shared the stories behind the music on this wonderful summer/fall evening. Those who attended were amazed!
As the area on the south end of the courtyard filled up, other neighbors out for an evening walk with there pooch had a chance to enjoy the concert on the west end of the courtyard as well. See the yellow labrador in the back.
Sue Fink kept the crowd giggling all evening
Songwriter Eddy Bluma performs a pre concert to some eager teenagers just passing through the Cook Street Plaza to enjoy the inspirational songs Eddy had to share before the songwriter circle started.
